Winding down

Went out at lunch for a quick 5K. I cannot believe it's October already and the temps are still in the twenties and it's sunny.

It's been a long time since I've only run 5K so I did my old loop. I got stuck at a traffic light for about a minute and still managed a sub-5 minute/K time even though I left the timer running.

Well the legs are feeling good and this time next week we will be on our way to Chicago so it's getting very exciting. I need to start planning what to take and the logistics of the whole thing.

Tomorrow I plan to do a 16K run at race pace and Sunday is the Run for the Cure which will be the wife's first 5K race so I will be going along to cheer.
