Turn down the heat

If this long spell of hot, humid weather is getting you down try running early in the morning.

Not only is it cooler but the air quality is much better early in the morning before the sun has had a chance to bake the low level ozone.

It's also a great way to start your day and feel energized for the day ahead.

Midsummer Night's Run

I'm sure you'll be interested in this brand new race which is happening in Toronto this August 19th.

A Midsummer Night's Run will be a magical evening of running staged on Toronto's East end trails and Lake Ontario. The run will start before the sun sets and will be finished by the light of the moon. Shakespeare's own words well describe this night as being "... swift as a shadow, short as any dream..."

Saturday, August 19th, 2006 - 8:00pm start time at the Keating Channel Pub at Cherry and Villiers Street. 30KM run/2 person relay or a 15KM walk in support of The Arthritis Society.

Check out their website for more information www.amidsummernightsrun.ca.
