Longboat 10K

Congratulations to all of you who ran the longboat 10K on the weekend. I had a quick browse through the results and it looks like you all had excellent times.

Some of your performances need a mention...

Ken 4th in his VERY competitive age group 24th overall.. 4:01/KM Holy Cow.
Edgar 3rd in his age group.... I'm scared now for next weekend! Especially with all my trash talking.
Miriam 6th in her age group.... another impressive result.
Chuck was up there too.

You all seem to have fantastic times even if I didn't mention you (I'm supposed to be working you know).

Well done to you all. You've all worked hard and it now seems to be paying off. I can't wait to see the results over the next few weeks.

Check out all the results here.

Man the paparazzi are unbelievable! I don't know how Edgar keeps up with all the fame! Imagine having your picture taken with a picture of Tom Longboat! You don't see that at Alfie Shrubb...

Congratulations to all of you who did the Longboat 10K and 5K events.

I just want to make special mention about Ken, who, the day prior to Longboat, did the Grandma's 5K race in Unionville (that is Markahm to most of you). He finished in not too shabby, 19:24, 3:53/km (double holy cow), placed 3rd in his age group. Also at this race was the venerable Ed Whitlock, who in his usual fashion finished ahead of Ken, albeit this time by only 4 seconds.

Careful Ken, Mr. Whitlock might get the impression that you are out to get him - he might obtain a restraining order of sorts on you.
